Friday August 13, 2004 1:00 A.M. .  Came downstairs to check ebay.  Found auction number 2486976853 for a 1966 Chevy crew cab pickup with extra trucks.

Thursday August 19, 2004 I won the auction for $3,200.  The auction was for two 1965 trucks and the one 1966 crew cab truck.

Thursday September 2, 2004 Flew to Virginia to get the brakes working for transport

Friday September 3, 2004 Got the brakes working on all three trucks

Saturday September 4, 2004 Came Home

Sunday September 5, 2004 Created this web page

Saturday September 11, 2004 No 66 vintage trucks have arrived yet.  All three are still in Virginia hopefully getting passed over by hurricanes!

Saturday September 25, 2004 I received an email from the outfit (K.A.T. Transport) I was using to move the trucks back here indicating that they could not do it as the cost would be approximately $3000 which is $1500 more than our lump sum contract to move these things.  Dammit. Now I have to look for another shipper...

Tuesday Octboer 12, 2004 I just happened to take the day off, at about 10:00 am received a call from an outfit in Arkansas (Tripple T Transport) saying they might be able to move my vehicles.  After a bit of conversation and a couple of phone calls they said they could do it.  By 3:30 that day, they were loaded and headed this way.

Thursday October 14, 2004 Got a call about 3, saying they would be here at about 7:30.  So, I went down to Phil's (my father in laws mechanic shop where I am keeping them) to unload them at 7:00.  7:30-No Trucks. 8:30-No Trucks, 9:30-No Trucks, I went home.  Shortly after I got home I received a call from the trucker's wife, who indicated he got pulled over at the weigh scale.  To make a long story short they trucker had some very bad luck (the weigh station was closed, but they opened it special for him, the trooper that did the inspection just happened to be the state's vehicle inspection training officer, so he picked out everythin) and got out of there with a $500 fine and a mandatory layover until the next morning to catch up on his log book.

Friday October 15, 2004 They're Here!!!! So after nearly two months, I've received them.  Everything was unloaded, and in the same condition it should have been.  The best part-They came with a new, in the box Chrome Front Bumper, Chrome Rear Bumper, Chrome Grill, and stepside tailgate!!!

Saturday October 16, 2004 I went down to Phil's and checked the two with engines, and they both turn over! I sprayed some starting fluid in the fleetside, but couldn't get it to fire.  No big deal, I spent about 10 minutes working on it...
