Forestall Death spell:
Syntax: cast 'forestall death' <dead character>         (Cleric Level 15 Spell)

Drawing upon their healing powers, a cleric can help the spirit of a fallen
comrade cling to their body just a bit longer.  The power of this prayer
seems best used soon before their spirit would depart, leaving behind only
a lifeless husk, a corpse.

While effective, the power of this spell is limited in that it can only
serve its purpose once per death.  When used to gain time to preform a
Raise Dead, or other miraculous spell of resurrection, this spell proves
invaluable.  Otherwise, it simply forestalls the inevitable.

Once a dead character enters the Death Maze, if they so choose, this spell
ceases to affect them.
